DIVES MED Art. Grade threads are made of a strong, synthetic polydioxanone (PDO) fibre. This substance is completely biocompatible, safe, and biodegradable. PDO initiates the production of new collagen and elastin, resulting in tissue remodelling and lifting. Thanks to its collagen-forming properties, PDO allows for the creation of a subcutaneous frame that smoothes and stops the gravitational sagging of tissues. The effect of using the thread is to improve the volume of the skin and a gradual, natural process of rejuvenation. The effectiveness of PDO is confirmed by numerous clinical studies, and its use in many branches of medicine and surgery ensures exceptional safety and minimally invasive therapy. The threads dissolve spontaneously in the skin for 6-8 months, but the effects of their use may persist for up to 2 years.
PDO threads are a specific tissue stimulator, stimulating the process of nucleogenesis, i.e., stimulation of collagen and elastin – proteins responsible for skin firmness and tension. Thanks to the properties that initiate the production of skin supporting proteins, as well as the specialized technique of thread implantation in line with the natural skin tension line, the results of the PDO thread treatment may be similar to the effects of a surgical facelift.
COMPOSITION AND OPERATION:
PDO threads are made of a strong, synthetic polydioxanone (PDO) fibre.
THREAD TYPES:
Mono – a thread made of a single PDO fibre combined with a high-quality needle
Mono Eye Cannula – a thread made of a single PDO fibre placed in a comfortable cannula
Mono Screw – a thread made of monofilament PDO twisted in a spiral around a high-quality needle
Mono Eye Screw Cannula – a thread made of monofilament PDO with a spiral twist and placed in a comfortable cannula
Tornado Screw Twin – a thread made of double PDO fibre twisted in a spiral around a high-quality needle
The threads are intended for implantation into deep layers of subcutaneous tissue. Before performing the procedure, it is absolutely necessary to conduct a medical history, rule out contraindications and
obtain informed consent for the procedure and inform the patient about possible results, contraindications, and possible side effects, as well as recommend post-treatment procedures. Before injection, clean the treatment area with an antiseptic and leave it to dry. When using threads included in the cannula, perform an entrance puncture for the cannula with a needle with a higher capacity. The number of implanted threads depends on the initial state of the skin and the expected effect, and the optimal amount is selected by the person performing the procedure. Disinfect the treatment site after implantation. Dispose of the needles in accordance with applicable medical practices and legal
regulations. Incorrect or inconsistent with the manufacturer’s recommendations may lead to complications and side effects.
TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS:
PDO thread implants may cause redness, swelling, pain or slight bruising at the treatment site.
Usually, these changes are mild and disappear after a few days. To obtain optimal correction effects and safe convalescence:
– do not apply makeup for up to 12 hours
– avoid solarium and excessive sun exposure for up to 2 weeks after the procedure
– do not expose the correction site to extreme low and high temperatures
– apply ointments that seal blood vessels to the places where bruising occurred
– immediately report any disturbing changes to the specialist performing the procedure
PRECAUTIONS:
The threads may be used only by doctors and medical personnel trained in the use of PDO smooth threads. Before starting the procedure, it is recommended to prepare a medical history and obtain the patient’s informed consent. During the implantation of the product, the procedure and the injection site should be fully aseptic. Due to the lack of clinical data, it is not recommended to use the product in places subjected to correction with other preparations and in locations not recommended by the manufacturer, in particular in blood vessels, tendons, ligaments, and bones. Incorrect or inconsistent with the manufacturer’s recommendations may lead to complications and side effects.
POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:
DIVES MED ART thread implantation. GRADE PREMIUM may lead to slight damage to blood vessels and the formation of hematomas and bruises. Immediately after injection, the treatment area may experience swelling and redness, as well as short-term pain.
UTILIZATION:
Throw away the needles and cannulae remaining after the implantation of the threads into a medical waste container. After use, dispose of all parts of the blister according to instructions for the handling of potentially bloody material. Use caution against unprotected needles and other contaminated surgical instruments. Do not put used needles back into the needle cap.
STERILIZATION:
The contents of the blisters have been sterilized by radiation.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE:
Store at 2oC-25oC, away from sunlight and heat sources. Do not use the product after the expiry date and if the blister is damaged or has been stored incorrectly. Use the content of the blister for a single application and do not re-sterilize.
